Evening Primrose Oil (EPO) may play a role in promoting smooth, healthy-looking skin.** These easy-to-swallow soft gels are a natural source of GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid). Our EPO contains one of the most concentrated forms of this Omega-6 fatty acid available today. The EPO used for Puritan's Pride is 100% pure, solvent-free, cold pressed and void of hexane and other solvent residues.
All three potencies (500 mg, 1000 mg, or 1300 mg) deliver 9% GLA content. GLA can be synthesized from linoleic acid in the body but, biological conversion is estimated to be less than 10% and since there are no known significant food sources of GLA, supplementing may be important for supporting health.
